On the celebration of International Labor Day on 1 May 2019, and as part of the government’s effort to improve the purchasing power of pensioners and employees, and after consulting social parties, the Prime Minister decided the following:
– Increase the guaranteed minimum wage in the industrial and agricultural sectors by 6.5% from May 2019 to 403.104 TND.
– Increase fees for all private sector retirees and join the National Social Security Fund by 6.5%, starting in May 2019.
Increase wages of civilized workers by 6.5% per month, starting in May 2019.
This increase in the guaranteed minimum wage and pensions for private sector retirees will be the third in a row since 2017.
